Stretch-n-Grow - Michigan
Oakland County's Premier Physical Education Program for Kids

"Leave the afternoon for exercise and recreation, which are as necessary as reading."

Did you know:

    • 85% of kindergartners fail a basic physical education test.

    • Children who fail to master their fundamental motor skills by the age of 6 may never realize their full potential to perform them.
The statistics above indicate that while we are teaching our children their ABCs in preschool, we are failing to provide them with adequate physical education.  In this era of convenience foods and sedentary lifestyles, the importance of structured physical activity has never been more crucial.

In addition, kids are starting organized sports at an earlier age and are playing sports year round.  Their developing bodies are at greater risk for injury if they aren't physically fit and if they don't know how to "exercise" properly.

teaches preschool aged children the importance of physical fitness and builds a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.   Stretch-n-Grow's effective curriculum can also give kids an athletic advantage as it provides aerobic and muscle conditioning-- all while having fun!

joins programs like Michele Obama's "Let's Move" Campaign and the NFL Play 60 program in promoting the need for early childhood fitness education.

With Stretch-n-Grow, children have fun while enhancing development of their fundamental motor skills:  locomotor, nonlocomotor, manipulative and weight maneuvering.   During Stretch-n-Grow classes, children also enhance their physical development of the 6 key fitness components:

    • Strength
    • Flexibility
    • Endurance
    • Balance
    • Agility
    • Coordination
Stretch-n-Grow provides early childhood physical education and wellness enrichment programs, specifically designed for 2-5 year olds. It encompasses developmentally appropriate physical movement and cognitive lessons in a positive environment during preschool, daycare or in any setting.  We do this using several components:

STRUCTURED EXERCISE - routines to stories and music that engage the children and make it fun!

LESSON PLANS - focusing on topics like nutrition, safety, self-esteem, hygiene and anatomy!

     - focus on team work and sportsmanship for social and physical development.
